I did not want to stop reading. Having read (and loved) the first in this series I was hopeful to love the 2nd book as well. What can I say but there is no 2nd book hangover. Fern and the rest of the characters continue to grow, we get to know them better AND we meet some new friends that have amazing new powers.
Once again that this book is based in Anciet Egyptian mythology and also giving me amazing relationships and characters just rocked my world. Their powers are something to behold.
The writing was fabulous, plenty of detail, depth and world building at the right time. I am kept guessing but not floundering.
Plus, despite the number of characters, the first person narrative is easy to follow as each character is speaking within their own chapter.
So happy to have been able to read this for the author and I’m hanging out for book 3.
